Ensure the cartridges are re-filled ASAP after emptying

As ink dries on paper it will dry on the print head blocking the tiny jets. Try wrapping the cartridge in cling wrap to prevent it drying (Black Cartridge only)

Do not attempt to print with an empty cartridge

Ink is heated to very high temperatures during the printing process and continuing to attempt printing with a depleted cartridge will bake any residual ink, blocking the jets or worse, burn out the tiny resistors, rendering the cartridge useless.

Colour Cartridges

Stop printing as soon as it is evident that one colour has run out e.g. Green printing as blue indicates that yellow has been depleted. PCS adjusts re-filling costs if the cartridge is not completely empty.

Always try to remove a paper jam by moving the paper forward along its normal printing path - not backwards & remove the print cartridge before doing so.
